Belma is originally from Turkey, and she has been with MTS Logistics for 8 years. She currently holds a position as a Sales Executive. She graduated from Cukurova University, Business Administration in Adana. She has attended import and export classes at WTI and has 12 years experience working in the Logistics Industry.

Fun Fact: Belma does portrait sketching, and can sketch just about anything with a piece of charcoal or a pencil!

Trending Toys in 2012 – Report from the 109th International Toy Fair

The 109th International Toy Fair arranged by the Toy Industry Association was held at Jacob Javits Center in New York last week.  TIA is a not for profit trade association for producers and importers of toys and youth entertainment products sold in North America. This is the biggest Toy Show in Northern Hemisphere.

As duty called, I attended the toy fair and all right yes, it is one of my favorite trade shows, apart from the dynamic atmosphere which I love about the fairs, for some reason I walk faster to this one. Before it starts I love passing by the Hasbro showroom when they start to set up, as it is a heads up of the upcoming Toy Fair.

The action was going on in the entire tremendous 360,000 square feet show area with over 34000  visitors, more than 1000 exhibitors and  about 250 of them first time exhibiting companies. [Read more...]

Child Labor Today Around the World

Have you ever thought about the people who have been a part of the manufacturing of the products you use? Especially the child labor.

If it was not for Lewis Hines, I do not think we would have a clear picture of the conditions the children worked in the factories in US a hundred years ago.

He used to go into the mills with the permission to take the pictures of the machines, eventually he left us the invaluable and concrete pieces of times when little children were besides those machines. That was America one hundred years ago. Today it seems the geography has shifted, as children in other places of the world have replaced them. Wood Packaging Material – Why The Hazard?

There are a numbers of steps that importers and exporters must take before starting the process of shipping their goods. One very important and sometimes overlooked step is using the right packaging; especially if the goods are being packed with wooden materials.
