MTS Logistics 4th Annual Bike Event

This year MTS Logistics held its annual bike event on Saturday, June 7th. This was the biggest Bike Event in the Logistics Industry that was ever held. For those who needed some extra challenge; MTS Logistics added a Tier 1 route which started to roll from Battery Park at 7:30 am in the morning to all the way to 54th Street Central Park and back. 25 people attended the Tier 1 route and stated that it was “Challenging, but awesome!”.

It was a perfect day for biking in New York City. The temperatures ranged between 82~85°F very sunny with low humidity. The regular group started at 9:30 am from lower Manhattan’s Battery Park over the Brooklyn Bridge, passing through Prospect Park and finally reaching the gorgeous Brighton Beach. We were a total of 112 bikers including our customers, partners, and our friends.

This year we had two very young participants as well. They did not give up and joined us for the whole route. We want to acknowledge their contributions and thank Kaan and Lucas for their dedications.

As we all made it to Brighton Beach we were ready for some delicious brunch to fuel up. We had our sunny side up eggs, omelets, variety of salads and some fresh fruit bowls to help us get back on track. Of course after we filled up our stomachs we were ready for some exciting Mts drawings. Gregg was the first person to call to win the men’s biking gear, and then our VP of Development Can Fidan picked the second number for the big prize. The lucky winner of the day was Ania Kozian to win an awesome Cannondale sports bike!

Besides the challenging ride we had a great time biking together. More importantly, this time we did it for a better and a bigger cause. We biked for a greener environment. We want to thank all of our friends, families and customers who came and joined us. 100 trees were planted for each biker and 200 tress per Tier 1 bikers who attended totaling about 15,000 trees to be planted; so thank you all again for making this possible! We look forward to biking again with all of you again next year! Until then stay healthy and super happy.

It was good idea that we have added tier-1- meaning extra 19.3 miles to biking event. Total tier-1- and Tier-2- was almost 54 miles and i loved every bit of it.. i can not wait for next year…
